Emoji Battery & Shimeji Pets

Emoji Battery & Shimeji Pets is an app designed to personalize your phone’s screen by introducing animated, interactive companions and a customizable battery indicator. Users can add tiny, anime-inspired characters, known as Shimeji pets, that move across the display, performing actions like walking, climbing, sitting, and napping while other apps are in use. Additionally, the app allows you to replace your standard battery icon with an expressive emoji, choosing from various styles to match your personalized screen pets and enhance your status bar’s appearance.

Adding Interactive Screen Pets

Emoji Battery & Shimeji Pets allows you to populate your phone’s display with animated Shimeji pets. These characters are designed to live on your screen, performing various actions such as walking, climbing, sitting, sleeping, and interacting with your display content. You can also tap and drag these pets for interactive reactions, adding a dynamic element to your device as you browse, chat, or watch videos.

Customizing Your Battery Display

Beyond animated companions, the app offers an Emoji Battery Icon feature to customize your status bar. You can select from a variety of expressive battery styles to replace the default display. This allows you to match the battery icon’s aesthetic with your chosen Shimeji pets, providing a cohesive and personalized look for your phone.

Controlling Pet Presence and Behavior

The app provides extensive options to control how your Shimeji pets appear and behave. You can combine different Shimeji characters on one screen using the Mix & Swarm Pet Modes, or create a ‘swarm’ to fill your display with multiple animated companions. Further personalization includes the ability to resize pets to fit your screen, adjust their movement speed from calm to energetic, and select the quantity of pets visible at any given time. Pets can also be easily enabled or disabled whenever you wish.

Understanding App Permissions

To function correctly, Emoji Battery & Shimeji Pets requires specific permissions. The Display over other apps permission is necessary for the Shimeji pets and emoji battery overlays to appear on your screen above other content. Additionally, if the Accessibility Service is enabled, the app states it is used solely for optional positioning of the battery icon or status bar overlay, and only after your explicit consent. The developer clarifies that this service is not used to collect personal data, read messages, capture passwords, or monitor user activity.
